This program is intended to establish long-term, close educational, training, and research links between MIT and Chevron in areas of mutual interest. In particular, the research focus is in the area of remote, ultra-deepwater development and production of oil and gas. Multi-year R&D studies (under the MIT Energy Initiative Deepwater Sponsored Research Program) and seed projects (sponsored by the Chevron University Partnership Program) address issues relevant to Chevron’s Deepwater Focus Area.
